Bouwman · Dutch · to build, to cultivate

I drink, and
I build things.

When I was a kid I wanted to be a ninja, an architect, and a pilot, in that order. So I split my time between Tae Kwon Do, flight simulators, and elaborate Lego builds. The ninja dreams died somewhere along the way, but the Lego passion lives on, just with different bricks.

The projects below are a creative outlet, built in my spare time: some for fun, some to make money, some because they're useful, and some to teach myself something new. Think of it as a running list of side projects, experiments, failures, and lessons learned, kept so I can look back and laugh at all the crazy ideas.

As for the pilot dream, stay tuned.

About

Ideas are a dime a dozen. Execution is the whole game.

I spent nearly two decades in enterprise IT as a solutions architect, working with everyone from small businesses to Fortune 100 companies. In 2023 I started building on my own: e-commerce stores, automated content pipelines, physical products, newsletters, mobile apps, AI agents and consulting.

Most of these projects are retired. Each one taught me something I couldn't have learned any other way: own the product, distribution beats product, and passion is not the same as credibility. The ones still running are the ones where those lessons finally stuck.

I keep this page as a running record. If something here is useful to you, or you want to talk about building things, I'm easy to find.
